Mona Inglesby (1918-2006). Founder and principal dancer of the International Ballet. Credited with saving the Sergeyev Collection, the major collection of notation and other material documenting the Golden Years of the Imperial Ballet under Marius Petipa.

Enclosed to the original owner was a letter from Ms Inglesby’s secretary, June Digle, dated 9th May 1947 and written from the New Theatre, Oxford. Acquired as part of a scrapbook of ballet and dance programmes.
